Factors Driving Obesity
Two factors seem to drive unhealthy people in the United States, poverty and obesity. These are not exclusive of each other. Impoverished people tend to eat low cost fatty foods high in processed sugars and sodium. This diet along with minimal exercise is the recipe for obesity.
A common sense approach to this problem, we’ll call the 3 E’s; Eat Healthy, Exercise and Examinations. The first two E’s (Eat Healthy and Exercise) need to be in balance but always seem to be at war with each other. You can be an extremist and focus only on one or the other and maintain a healthy weight.
If you don’t exercise at all, diet is the focus and almost everything consumed must be thought about.
