About This Tool:

BMI stands for “body mass index,” a numerical value of your weight in relation to your height. BMIs are good indicators of healthy weights for adult men and women, regardless of body frame size. Higher BMIs (25+) are associated with increased health risks in some people. Could your weight be increasing your health risks? Use our BMI Calculator to find out. If a person’s body weight is at least 20% higher than it should be, he or she is considered obese. If your Body Mass Index (BMI) is between 25 and 29.9 you are considered overweight. If your BMI is 30 or over you are considered obese.
